Originally from Washington State, Amber graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with a double major in Advertising and Commercial Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Immediately following her formal education, Amber spent the next year in New York City working with the renowned photographer, Mary Ellen Mark. Returning to the west coast, Amber opened A Medley Photography, specializing in documentary weddings, architecture, and portrait photography.
Amber's goal in all of her photography is to capture a moment, not to create one. During event photography, Amber has the ability of melting into the background and remaining unobtrusive. "Amber's easy nature combined with her skill and eye for detail makes her a dream to work with".
Amber provides the same quality of photography all over the world, and has clients from as far away as Thailand, Canary Islands, and Ireland. "My experience shooting in remote locations has given me challenges and opportunities that have made me more creative. It has also taught me to be prepared for anything, from broken zippers, to a wedding dress locked in the limo...along with the keys!"
