I have been shooting pictures for about 17 years and find each photography assignment exciting and unique. Every job is a new way to blend an expression of my personal vision with the beauty of life before me. Being a professional observer puts me most in touch with the honest and the quintessential, in the visual context. It is a constant fascination to me that there is so much said and yet unsaid by a photograph, and what that draws forth from the viewer is yet another wonderful enigma.

The first time I met Melanie she had a very calm, thoughtful demeanor about her. She was very easy to work with and a good listener. She is very organized and detail oriented. The quality and clarity of her pictures is excellent and her creativity shows throughout her work. We had a large bridal party, her knowledge of the important people in our lives showed in the pictures. She was able to capture close family members and friends in many of the pictures; she knew who was who on both sides of our families. I liked how the pictures captured the essence of the day and were not all posed portraits. I also like the variety of the black and white pictures and color pictures. I liked the website she puts up for family and friends with all the pictures, its very user-friendly, guests can order any pictures they want. Her albums are hand crafted, we worked together to create parent albums and an album for ourselves. Melanie was very easy to work with; she didn’t make things stressful but rather helped make the day special for both of us. We would use her again in a heartbeat!
